Twisting up Transparency

Lyin’ Watchdog Willie is at it again.. he prints a campaign attack (paid for by whom???) based of an agenda item on the May 9th freeholder meeting. But obviously Lyin’ Willie and co-hort Kelly Ann didn’t read the fine print. or anything else for that matter.

Freeholder Director Jonathon Rose and the other freeholders have been improving Transparency throughout the county and this is a good example of good government.

What is bad is the distorted attack from a couple of paid political consultants because they were hoping that no one would actually read the agenda.

The attack:

The purpose:

Government entities must have a budget process, and as such, must adhere to the final budget. That means that plans for any hourly or salary adjustments must be in the budget. The list of “insider raises” is another lie by Lyin’ Willie. We read the entire list and will now show the break down.

Background:

As many know the sheriff has made a lot of noise lately about Freeholder interference in his budget,(more about that later). In the county there are 4 Constitutional Officers; the Sheriff, Prosecutor, Surrogate, and County Clerk. They submit their budgets for funding by the county, but the individual requests are within the purview of the constitutional officers. The Freeholders ask questions, but generally fund the Constitutional Officers requests.
